Women Making a Difference
Meet women across Nigeria turning ideas into businesses, embracing digital tools and creating change in their communities.
Slides by Ego
Leather Craft and Fashion Accessories
After participating in the Social Media Marketing Training by GIZ/DTC Nigeria, the founder of Slides by Ego transformed her online presence by applying practical digital marketing skills. She now runs targeted Facebook and Instagram ads, creates engaging content using Canva and CapCut, and uses the WhatsApp Business catalogue to showcase her products and connect with customers.
These improvements have helped her grow her customer base, increase online sales, strengthen customer relationships, and expand her market beyond Nigeria.
"Through the Social Media Marketing Training, I have been able to export my handmade bags simply by optimising my Instagram account. My products can now be found in Georgia, the United Kingdom, and several other countries."
Mrs. Binta, Kano
Ahnaf General Enterprises
After participating in the Digital Business Optimisation Training by GIZ/DTC Nigeria and Wennovation Hub, Mrs. Binta strengthened her business by adopting digital tools such as Instagram, WhatsApp Business, and CapCut to improve her marketing, branding, and customer engagement. She also enhanced her product packaging, creating a stronger and more recognisable brand presence.
Inspired by the training, she has gone on to share her knowledge with other women entrepreneurs in her local community through workshops, helping them embrace digital tools to grow their businesses.
"I've learned how to use digital tools like Instagram, WhatsApp Business for marketing, and CapCut for creating and editing videos."
